With the new look

Neighbours started its big change tonight and CRIKEY! what an episode! They've also re-done the webiste and you can watch tonight's episode on it... Well I can but I'm in Oz. Give it a go though and see..

The theme is different, a new family arrived and a huge accident happened in the end involving a mini-bus (which I am convinced was the plain white mini bus they use on the tour) and a truck. The mini bus had most of the neighborus cast within it - with the exception of Harold, Genae and the bride and groom (Rosie and Friaser) - Carl, susan and the rest of that gang are away at the moment so they were missed out too. It looked and felt very different that's for sure and it was probably the shake up it needed. The BBC might well have made a bit of an error.

Just incase you can't see the video's on the webiste here's a copy of the spoiler and the new credits... Some of this happened tonight but most of it is still to come. Someone must have screen captured it though as the quality's not that great.. Anyway.. Enjoy!

Ooh yeah and forget Bouncer... a new pet arrived too "pouch" can you guess what he is yet?

Harry Potter ....

The advantage of being 8.5 hours ahead of the UK is that Harry Potter (having been released at the same time across the world) was released this morning at precisely 8:31am. I didn't have to try and stay up all night and I could pick up the book and go get some breakfast after - much to LOFs enjoyment.

Much to a lot of Australian's surprise there was an enormous cue outside the book shop. We'd pre-ordered our copies (along with over 500 others) and had to wait about an hour before we could get inside the shop to pick it up! As you would expect there were people who had stayed the night outside the shop; we even saw one witch carrying a large mattress on her back (a camping mattress of course!).

There were some excellent efforts on the costume front and it was very amusing to see this group of Gryffindors reading just outside the shop. We were also quite surprised when a man dressed as Hagrid started wandering up the line to tell us that there wasn't a cue at his book shop! - Well i guess you would be a bit gutted if on of the other major bookstores seems to have all the customers whilst you twiddle your thumbs! lol. Bless em.

Seven news was even there... I wonder if we'll be on it - standing in a cue? Who knows. Anyway I've got some reading to do :)

Cleland Park

back to our normal routine of finding interesting places to go for a walk on a Sunday... so we thought we'd check out Cleland National Park...

Look who we found there...
A sleepy pair of wombats..

More here

They're all pretty tame and you can feed them and pat them too! They even a had a place where you could cuddle a Koala and have your picture taken. It was a very cold day today! We definitely needed our coats! The baby kangaroos looked cold and some of them were huddled up for warmth - bless their little furry tails! lol

Hands up who wants to go there when they visit!!???

They left... On a jet plane!

In domestic terminals you are allowed to wave people off right from the gate. This meant that we were able to wave goodbye to P + R just before they stepped onto a plane. One of three planes that they would be alighting over the next 23 hours. (Poor things).
They are currently winging their way back to Europe and England and will land in Birmingham airport on Friday Lunchtime (UK time).

So, the house is little quieter now... it's just me and LOF again. Oh... a pecan pie, and Mrs Mac's Pies, Frozen veg, Tins of mushy peas, blue vein cheese, Tea bags, frozen chips and a bag of nuts. ;)

On Wednesday night we all went to see the new Harry Potter film. Ahhh,.. it was lovely and wonderful! I can't wait for the new book... I am a little upset however, that I didn't remember to back my HP collection so that I could read them all again before i embark on the final journey. In an attempt to rectify the situation i am listening to them.. chapter by chapter ... book by book while I work! lol. The schools are on holiday so work means Moodles and Course design at the moment. Perfect for Harry Potter listening! ;)

Luckily because of the time difference we will be able to buy the new HP books at 8:30 in the morning whilst at the same time you will all need to stay up late and get there for 12:00 midnight. That means that July 21st is clear in my diary and the day is filled with the words - Harry Potter 7. :)

I wonder what will happen. ???

They've visted little Sydney

and I think that they enjoyed themselves. I've just been nosing through their photos and have noticed that about 70% of them are of the Endeavor - so I'm guessing that the replica of Captain Cook's boat was a highlight. Ray's trying to steal it here! lol

I think he fancies himself as Captain! Watch out Fr J you may have a rival here! OOhh arrr!

I wonder why Pauline was trapped downstairs? She looks very happy to be released! It may have something to do with all that dog napping she's been up to! lol

The joy of giving and receiving.

It's always fun to send pressies, perhaps more than it is to receive. Especially when you get sent a photograph of the excited bearer of said gift. lol

The pressie in this case was a DR who badge that I came across in a cool antiques shop in Adelaide. I knew where it's rightful home was the minute I saw it. Its new owner was also duly sent the obligatory Koala with boomerang and a little gift set with sweeties in amongst other things lol.
I'm just glad that is now a part of a larger collection and has returned to it's mother land where, no doubt, it came from originally! lol

I have also sent a kangaroo outfit for T + Ms baby and now I'm just waiting for little E to be born so I can post a picture of the little kangaroo on here lol! 3 Weeks to go!

Mr M sent me a voucher for my B'day which I have now used to buy some CDs. He probably won't approve of my choices lol! I got Avril Lavigne's album, Mika's Album and Belinda Emmett's album. I am currently shouting "Hey HEy HEy HEy I know that you like me!" and telling people that I should be there Girlfriend lol. Well someone has to! ;)

There are still another 4 albums that I'm after too by Thristy Merc, Silver chair and Powder Finger! lol . Ah well one day I'll be rich! !!!

Oooohhhh

;)

Curious? I am!

The adverts for Neighbours are generally much more serious here. We get a snippet of the next show at the end of the one we're watching. I know that ratings have been falling which is why all those new characters have been arriving. I also know it hasn't finished yet and something's gonna happen very soon. This is the most recent TV ad...

By the way...Kel and Mum you're booked on the tour ;)

Oh yeah and I missed this episode but I did promise you ...
